MAO is a youth leadership and professional development program that strengthens the Montagnard community through education, cultural preservation, and community engagement while fostering an inclusive environment where everyone is welcome to participate and grow.

Our mission is to strengthen the Montagnard community by empowering youth through leadership, education, cultural preservation, and community engagement. We are committed to creating inclusive programs and opportunities where all Montagnards and friends are welcomed, respected, and encouraged to participate, connect, and volunteer.
Our vision is to build a strong, connected, and inclusive Montagnard community across North Carolina and beyond by fostering leadership, collaboration, and equal opportunities while ensuring every individual is treated with dignity, respect, and a sense of belonging.

Cultural Preservation
We promote the cultural preservation of the Montagnard American community. We promotion of positive traditions and preserving good values by develop activities to support togetherness like traditional dance and music classes, language classes, workshops, festivals, cultural presentations, and other events.

Sustainability for MAO means building a stronger, more empowered community through leadership development, professional growth, capacity building, and inclusive collaboration. Our goal extends beyond short-term funding by creating lasting community impact through education, awareness, and strong partnerships that support long-term positive change.

We want to strengthen the higher education opportunities for Montagnard youth through educational mentoring, service learning, community engagement activities, college presentations, technical assistance in applications, scholarship opportunities, and follow-up counseling support for college students.
