About Us

We are a network of scholars, professionals, advocates, and community members dedicated to scholarship and community building.

Founded in 2012, the Montagnard / Asian Community Disparities Research Network has worked closely with the Montagnard community and other refugee and immigrant populations to support research, collaboration, and community engagement.

From the Beginning to Today

Network Founded

Established to address community disparities through collaborative research.

2012–2018

Hosted by UNC Greensboro

Housed at the Center for New North Carolinians.

2019–Present

Hosted by Montagnard Dega Association

Now hosted by the Montagnard Dega Association in close partnership with the Community Advisory Council.

Join the Network

We invite scholars, researchers, service-learning and community engagement practitioners, as well as others interested in community-based research, to join our network and collaborate on projects that strengthen and empower Montagnard and other communities.

Students & Youth

We welcome students and young people to get involved through internships, service learning, research, civic engagement, and volunteer opportunities.
